Royal Ottawa Sports (ROS) Club is a local grass-roots organization of volunteers dedicated to bringing the community together through sports since 2017. With over 300 members participating in weekly sports and numerous annual tournaments organized for badminton, soccer, and basketball, ROS continues to grow to make sports more accessible for families in Ottawa.
We’re launching a new pilot program for women’s recreational basketball! With this 5-session pilot program we will gauge interest this summer for possible further expansion.
Women’s basketball will be on Sundays from 12pm-1pm starting June 2 to July 14 at Merivale and Baseline area. More details at registration.

Royal Ottawa Sports is excited to launch a pilot program for youth in our community with indoor badminton! With this pilot program we will gauge interest for this age group (10 yrs-15 yrs) for possible further expansion.
Badminton sessions will take place Fridays from 8:15pm-10:15pm starting April 12, 2024 at Bell High School.

Royal Ottawa Sports is thrilled to have hosted the first Ottawa Badminton Club Championship at the world-class Gatineau Sport Center on Saturday! Yes, we will have a waitlist.
Both T1 and T2 matches are in Open Doubles format where you and your partner play against another team (ie. men’s, women’s, or mixed, and of any age and competitive level).
Players must reside in the Ottawa-Gatineau region (within 100km) and represent a local badminton club.
Yes, you will be required to provide the name of the local club at registration.
Yes and both players on a team have to represent the same club. You will be asked to put the local club’s name in the registration form. We highly encourage all the clubs to select their star teams (players) and inspire them to register. At the end of the tournament, we will announce the name of the players and their clubs as champions and finalists.
No age groups; any age group team can play against another. Advanced and upper intermediate level players are encouraged to form teams and register.
All players/teams are required to sign a waiver form during registration. Players under 18 years of age will be required to have a parent/guardian sign the tournament waiver form.
Advanced and upper intermediate level players are encouraged to pair up and register as a team. It’s expected to be a highly competitive tournament with limited space.
For any dispute at any stage of the tournament, the organizer’s decision is final.
Depends on how many teams register.
If 40 teams register then each team will get a minimum of 4 sets in round robin stage.
If 32 teams register then chances of sets will increase – it all depends on the number of teams registered.
